PDGs Reunions

2018 RIBI PDG Reunion

RIBI PDGs from 2009-2010 held their 2018 reunion in Bristol and Bath, organized by PDG Tony Quinn (D1200). A highly successful event. The team are pictured here with a friendly owl in Bath - the many model and crafted owls are a modern iconic image of Bath - to rival the Roman Baths maybe!

2018 Indiana PDG Reunion

This years event was hosted by PDG Jerry and Marge Erskine. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon in August with each family providing a covered dish. Next year's event is scheduled for August 10 and will be hosted by PDG Steve and Susan Leonard.

Swedish Reunion

The annual reunion for the Swedish (and the Norwegian associate member...) "Burgundy Brigade" (Rotary District Governors 2010-11) took place on August 25-27, 2017 - this year hosted by Solveig & Claes Nilsson, District 2370. We stayed at Låsta, a great "farm hotel" (the owners have rebuilt the old barn) south-west of Stockholm. A packed program, including visiting Gripsholm Palace in the beautiful tiny city Mariefred (Pax Maria), visiting Taxinge Palace - with a.o. its modern farming, conference facilities (in the old stable), and famous cake restaurant... However - the most important, as always; having lots of fun, talking and eating & drinking with good friends. Next year the Danes hope to join them.

2010-11 Class Reunion - Calistoga 2018

Annual 2010-11 class reunion, organized this year by Kathy and Jim Flamson. Outstanding weekend of wine-tasting, delicious dining, and Rotary fellowship.

Vancouver Regional Event

RI President Elect Ian Riseley and PDG Juliet Riseley were hosted by the Fellowship of Rotarian PDGs at a gala dinner in Vancouver, BC at the prestigious Terminal City Club on Friday, October 21, 2016. The dinner was attended by 30 PDGs, DGs, DGEs, DGNs and partners from Districts 5020, 5040, 5050 and 5370.

RIPE Ian spoke about plans for Rotary next year such as introducing Cultural Exchanges funded by clubs & districts, plans for the 2018 RI Convention in Toronto and presidential conferences with a peace theme. He answered questions from those attending on the impact of re-zoning, polio eradication and hinted at a theme tie and scarf with a vibrant flora design.

PDG Penny Offer described the purposes of the Fellowship started by RIPP Ray Klinginsmith in 2012 and encouraged the group to become members and visit the website www.pdgsfellowship.org and Facebook page (Fellowship of Rotarian PDGs and Friends).

The event was organized by PDG Fellowship members PDG Penny Offer and PDG Chris Offer.

PDG Reunion in Ashland, Oregon

This was the first official fellowship reunion for the 2010-11 Governors (Burgundy Brigade/Generators) in zones 25 & 26. There were about twenty of us landing in Ashland for a weekend of fun, food, theater, frosty beverages, and site seeing. We had so much fun we are looking at gathering again next year on the beautiful island of Catalina, California.
